Bonnie Carr

Bonnie (Drake) Carr, age 89, formerly of Camden, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in Florida. Born on October 6, 1934 in Campton, KY, she was the daughter of the late Charles & Malvera (Oliver) Drake. Bonnie was the third youngest of twelve siblings. Bonnie retired from General Motors in 1987, where she was extremely proud of the years of services that she dedicated. 

Preceded in death by her husband: Gordon Carr; Children: Carol Hamblin, twin boys (Jack and John), Robert Carr, and Thomas Carr.

Survived by her son: Richard (Cathy) Farley of Ellenton, Florida; her brother, Billy Joe Drake of North Carolina; her beloved grandchildren: Rachel, Tony, Amanda, Cody, Ashley, and Brandon; several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie spent her time here on Earth being a social butterfly. Bonnie loved to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed going to church, playing cards, cooking and shopping. Bonnie was known to get competitive during her card playing days, her fiery red hair may have caused her to burn or cut a few decks of cards when she lost.

Bonnie will be laid to rest next to her husband, Gordon at Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, Ohio. No visitation or services are planned for Bonnie as of now. The Family wishes to celebrate Bonnie’s life with their Family in August at their reunion.
