Billy Joe Minton, Sr.

Billy Joe Minton, Sr., 83, of Arcanum, OH, died Monday, April 3, 2017 in Greenville, OH. Born on December 19, 1933 in West Liberty, OH, he was the son of the late William Clinton & Thelma Marie (Lucas) Minton. Billy retired after 29 years with Chrysler in Dayton. He was a Korean Conflict U.S. Army veteran, member of the VFW in Brookville and Greenville, Moose Lodge in Greenville and a member of the IUE Local 775.

Preceded in death by his Wife: Janet L. (Brinkhoff) Minton in 1984; Sisters: Eva Young, Edna J. Minton; Brothers: Gerald, Clinton Jr, Rev. Richard, Charles and Roger Minton.

Survived by Daughter: Vickie Derringer; Son: Billy Joe (Debbie) Minton, Jr.; Sisters: Judy Batts and Sue Iglehart; Brother: Sam Minton. 3 Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, 9 Step-Great Grandchildren and 2 Step Great Great Grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce St., Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Bill Crary and Pastor Dane Driver officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg with full military services by the Preble County Guard. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 4 - 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
