Billy J. Steele, Sr.

BILLY J. STEELE, SR., 80, of Camden, OH, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 in Oxford, OH. Born on June 9, 1929 in Somers Twp., Preble County, OH, he was the son of the late Walter A. & Bessie (Wilson) Steele. He retired in 1991 after 30 plus years with Wayne Works in Richmond, IN and was a member of UAW # 721 in Richmond. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Preceded in death by his Son: Billy Joe Steele, Jr. in 2002.

Survived by Wife of 55 years: Norma (Cole) Steele; Daughters & Sons-in-law: Cathy (Jimmy) Strong, Camden, OH, Cindy Dillon, Eaton, OH, JoAnna (Eugene) Cupp, Camden, OH; Sons & Daughter-in-law: Richard (Julie) Steele, West Elkton, OH, Robert Eric Steele and Gary Lee "Ray" Steele, both of Camden, OH; Brother: Robert Steele, Laton, OK; 11 Grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the Higher Heights Church of God, 8111 U.S. Rt. 127 South, Camden, OH with Rev. Marvin Hocker officiating. Inurnment will be held in Beechwood Cemetery in Israel Twp., Preble County, OH. Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the church.
