Betty Louise Ashman

Betty Louise (Hall) Ashman, 87, of Hamilton, Ohio died on Monday, December 29, 2014. She had been a long time resident of Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center in Middletown, Ohio. Betty was born on April 4, 1927 in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Robert and Nell (Blackwell) Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years: Robert Louis Ashman in 2003, and seven siblings. Betty was also preceded in death by one grandchild, Robbie Ashman, and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her seven children, daughters & sons-in-law: Betty Jo Ashman & Dennis Crowe Fairfield, Ohio; Linda Sue & John (Butch) Evans of Circleville, Ohio; Beth Ashman & Terry Woods of Middletown, Ohio; Joy Ann & Joey Gabriele of Ocala, Florida; sons: Robert Scott Ashman of Trenton, Ohio; Michael Tedd Ashman of Camden, Ohio; Phillip Dean Ashman of Camden, Ohio. Betty had been blessed with 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchild; sisters: Marjorie Geeting of Eaton, Ohio and Lucy Hedger of Hollandsburg, Ohio.
Betty was a loving wife and devoted mother. She volunteered with Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts for many years as a Brownie Leader and was a member of Eastern Star, 19th District, Fort Hamilton #568 Lodge.

Family will receive friends from 11:00am to 1:00pm, followed by a service at 1:00pm on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be sent to the funeral home to assist with the final expenses, or contributions can be made to Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
