Betty Jane Pickett

Betty Jane Pickett, age 88, of New Paris, OH, went to her Forever Home on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Richmond, IN. Born on April 15, 1930 in Richmond, IN, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin & Martha (Ehler) Bailey. She retired in 1998 from Oakridge Nursing Home in Richmond after serving as a QMA/Medical Records. She was a 1948 Dixie High School graduate in New Lebanon, OH and organizer of the high school reunion for many years. Member of the First English Lutheran Church and Salt and Pepper Club in Richmond, IN, and Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Preceded by her Husband of 68 years: Robert E. Pickett on March 20, 2018. 

Survived by Children: Ellen (Tim) Love, Lynn Pickett, Duane (Rhonda) Pickett, David Pickett, Joanne (David) Porter, Gina (Kevin) Shendler and Shari (John) Veach; Brother: Myron Eugene Bailey. 13 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild.

The family would like to thank the staff of Forest Park Health Campus in Richmond, IN.  

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, July 23, 2018 at First English Lutheran Church, 2727 E. Main St., Richmond, IN with Rev. Chip Belanga officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Church on Monday.
