Barbara Jane Wessel

Barbara Jane (Lockhart) Wessel, 86 of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Saturday, December 5, 2020 in Dayton. Born on June 20, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Henry F. & Mary L. (Crom) Wessel. Barbara had worked for BEI Realty as a Real Estate agent in the area for many years. In her earlier days, she had worked at Wright Patterson A.F.B. as a secretary. She loved playing cards and dancing, especially polka and waltz. Preceded in death by her former husband: Howard E. Lockhart, Sr. in 2011; sons: Christopher P. Lockhart, Sr. in 1992 and Thomas M. Lockhart in 2018; sisters: Shirley Ramby, Mary Margaret Edie, Patricia Smith and Carolyn Blind; brother: Frederick Wessel. 

Survivors include her Children: Barbara J. Tolle, Howard Lockhart, Jr., Donna Lockhart-Hawkyard, Diane (Bobby) Klinger, Joyce Lockhart, JoAnn (David) Deshong, Rebecca (Tony) Reynolds, David Lockhart, Daniel Lockhart and Cheryl (Jason) Rose; sister: Thomasine (Bob) Provolish. 23 Grandchildren, Many Great Grandchildren; nieces and nephews. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Visitation Catholic Church, 407 E. Main St, Eaton, Ohio with Father David Doseck officiating. Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 14, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church.
