Barbara Sue Gray

Barbara Sue (Conn) Gray, age 85, of Eaton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Born on July 24, 1938 in Middletown, Ohio, daughter of the late John & Bertha (Dye) Conn. She was baptized on January 2, 1944 at St. Paul’s Evangelical & Reform Church in Middletown, Ohio by Rev. H. H. Jung.

Barbara was a graduate of Middletown High School and University of Dayton. She was an executive assistant at the Monsanto Research Corporation Mound Laboratory in Miamisburg, Ohio. She had also worked in the office for the Lakengren Water Authority for many years. Barbara was the church secretary for Eaton Methodist Church and a member for many years when it was known as St. Paul United Methodist Church in Eaton, Ohio. The family would like to thank the staff at Brookhaven Retirement Community for all their care over the past four years. 

Preceded by her son, David Douglas Gray in 2023; sister, Patricia (Conn) Lewis.

Survived by her children, Daniel & Jennifer Gray of Bluffton, Ohio and Kimberly Gray Dull of Eaton, Ohio; their father, Paul David Gray of Hesperus, Colorado; grandchildren, Lauren Gray and Jonathan Gray; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Eaton Methodist Church, 120 N. Maple St., Eaton, Ohio with Pastor John S. Richards officiating. Interment will be held at Preble Memorial Gardens in West Alexandria, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. prior to the service.
