B Jeanette Back

B Jeanette (Slusher) Back, age 83 of Camden, Ohio, died February 6, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on August 31, 1929 in Bell County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Mona (Parrott) Slusher. Preceded in death by her parents and adoptive mother Cora Hawkins; husband of 56 years in 2005: Elmer Back; son: Mark Back in 1997; sister: Leona Robinson in 2005; and brother: John Lawson in 2001.
Survivors include four children, Sharon Miller of The Villages, Florida; Diana (Robert) Craig of Union; Steve Back of Camden; and Michael (Debbie) Back of Dayton; sister Lloyd Winna (James) Stamper of Lebanon, Ohio; five grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Miller of Dayton; Amy (Brian) Clingner of Dayton; Scott (Beth) Craig of Vandalia; Kari (Aaron) Sorrell of Eaton; and Kimberly Back of Apple Valley, Minnesota and eight great-grandchildren.
Jeanette graduated from West Elkton High School in 1947. She married Elmer Back on July 7, 1948 in Maysville, Kentucky. She worked for the Preble Shawnee school system as a teacher's aide. Elmer and Jeanette moved to LaPorte, Minnesota where they lived for 25 years and returned to Camden in 2001. Jeanette enjoyed volunteering at the Camden United Methodist Church food bank and bazaars and family garage sales. She was always ready to make homemade pies, cakes and cookies for family, friends and the community. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Memorial service will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Camden United Methodist Church with Fred Schmidt officiating. Interment will be in Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
