Audrey J. Overholts

Audrey J. Overholts, age 79 of Eaton, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 26, 2023. She was born on October 13, 1943 in Clay County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Sam and Essie (Rhodes) Bowling. A 1962 graduate of Lanier Township High School near West Alexandria, Ohio, Audrey was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother sister and aunt. Sitting on her front porch, reading her Bible, crocheting, or tending to her garden in summer brought her such joy, but nothing compared to the joy of her family, especially her grandchildren. Audrey attended the Eaton Baptist Church in Eaton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Bowling and sister, Donna J. Stephens.

Audrey is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Richard N. Overholts; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Bonnie Overholts; brother, Lloyd E. Bowling; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sammie (Mark) Fox, Phyllis (Doug) Smith, and Faye (Jim) Gabbard; grandchildren, Danielle Gorby, Zachary Overholts and Alex Overholts; great grandchildren, Aria Jenkins and Aurora Gorby and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Pastor Andrew Stensaas officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
