Arthur M. Richardson

Arthur M. Richardson, age 76, of (Gasper Township) Eaton, OH passed away Sunday morning, June 1, 2014 at his residence. Arthur was born on August 12, 1937 in Preble County, OH the son of the late Rhodes & Esta M. (Jackson) Richardson. He was a Vietnam U.S. Army veteran and had also served with the 1487 Ohio National Guards for 23 years. Active with the Boy Scouts of America for over 15 years as a Camp Ranger and many other duties at the Woodland Trails Boy Scout Camp in Preble County. Life member of the V.F.W. of Camden and member of the American Legion Post 215 of Eaton and the F.O.E. 2022 of Eaton. Preceded in death by sons: Timothy Richardson in 1995; Brian M. Richardson in 1980; Brothers: Joseph Richardson in 2010 Rhodes "Red" Richardson, Jr. in 1981; sisters: Esta Lu "Oogie" Mutter in 1994 and Lois J. Whiteley in 2011.

Survived by wife of 37 years: Kathy A. (Welz) Richardson; Sons: Joe Richardson & friend, Missy Puckett of Eaton; Art Richardson of Grove City, FL and daughter: Deborah Ann Richardson of Grove City, FL; sister: Treva Sparks of Eaton, OH; 5 Grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday June 4, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Nein-Barnes Funeral Home, 249 North Main Street, Camden, Ohio. The funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the funeral home and the interment in Fairmount Cemetery – Camden, OH with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
