Anthony V. Pickett

Anthony V. Pickett, age 90 of Eaton, Ohio died Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Heartland of Eaton. Born on November 19, 1915 in McKees Rocks, Pa. he was the son of the late Vincent & Mary (Rozanski) Pickett. He was a U.S. Army WW II veteran serving as a special agent for the Counter Intelligence Corps. In 1970 he retired from the Hydromation Engineering Co. Of Pittsburgh, Pa as the Chief Draftsman. Member of American Legion Post 215, VFW Post 8066, F.O.E. all of Eaton and the Society of Lubrication Engineers. He attended the Visitation Catholic Church of Eaton.

Preceded in death by his 1st wife: Gertrude M. (Malanowski) Pickett and 2nd Wife: Kathryn L. (Homziak) Pickett; Brothers: Joseph Pickett and Edward Pickett in 2004; Sister: Nora Bettors.
Survivors: Sons: Douglas Pickett of Evans City, PA and Allan Pickett of Pittsburgh, PA. Step-Son: Dr. Peter A. Sambol of Eaton, OH. Daughter: Christine Rourke of Houston, TX. Sisters: Dorothy Karpa and Helen Yackub both of Mckees Rocks, PA. 11 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2006 - 2:00 PM at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio 45320, with Rev. Eugene F. Vonderhaar officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday August 3, 2006 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Preble Memory Gardens - West Alexandria, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
