Amanda Erin Philpot

Amanda Erin Philpot, 33 of New Paris, Ohio died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at her residence. Born on February 5, 1982 in Wayne County, Indiana. She was a 2001 National Trail High School & Miami Valley Career Technology Center graduate. She worked at Heritage House Nursing Home in Richmond, IN. Member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority of New Paris; Rock Solid Ministries of Richmond; New Paris Apple Festival Committee and former Apple Festival Queen. She loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, Indianapolis Colts and NASCAR. She never met a stranger and touched so many lives. If you met her, you loved her. A special love to two people who taught her how to drive and gain her independence when her dad wasn't able to, Cathy and Annie. Preceded in death by grandparents: John and Goldie Philpot and Charles and Doris Jean Pickett and very special uncle: Lloyd Ritchie.

Survivors include her father: John Philpot of New Paris, OH; mother: Leanna L. Pickett Philpot of Eaton, OH; uncle: Charles Ray Philpot and aunt: Anna Ritchie both of Centerville, IN; old great aunt: Wilma Loftis of Richmond, IN; cousins: David Moore, Scott Moore, Amy Moore, Luke Philpot, Skylar Burdette, Madison Philpot, Mackenzie Philpot, Peyton Philpot, Noah Philpot, Olivia Philpot and Ryan Philpot.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Barnes Funeral Home 109 West Main Street New Paris, Ohio. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM at the funeral home with burial in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH.
