Alton B. Ferriell

Alton B. Ferriell, 95, of Eaton, OH, died Friday, February 08, 2013 at Vancrest Healthcare Center in Eaton. Alton was born on April 26, 1917 in Luverne, MN, son of the late Joseph B. & Florence K. (Mannigel) Ferriell. Alton was a 1936 graduate of Jackson Township High School and was a retired Preble County farmer. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3698 of Eaton OH; the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Eaton; the Elks Club of Middletown and Richmond, IN and the Eaton Church of the Visitation.

Alton is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Julia Ann (Horrigan) Ferriell in 2010; son, Richard Ferriell in 1978; brothers, Merlin, David and Jennings Ferriell and sister, Helen Jordan.

Alton is survived by sons & daughters-in-law, William J. Ferriell of Duncansville, PA; John B. Ferriell of Huber Heights, OH; Peter P. (Linda) Ferriell of Eaton and Wanda Combs-Ferriell of Connersville, IN; daughter and son-in-law, Ann(John) Esposito of Rochester, NY; sister, Jean Stamback of Eaton; grandchildren, Megan Ferriell, Daniel Ferriell, Jason Esposito, Nicholas Esposito and Adrienne Esposito; nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2012 at the Eaton Church of the Visitation, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Father J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Church of the Visitation with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m.
