Alma Ward

ALMA WARD, 86 of New Paris, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Arbor Trace Senior Living Center in Richmond, Indiana. Born on February 7, 1924 in Red Hill, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Orie (Mullins) Morris. Alma was retired from the PRC Record Company in Richmond, member of the First Baptist Church in New Paris and loved to quilt and watch golf on T.V. While at Arbor Trace, Alma was known for her dog Susie who loved to drink Pepsi.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Ward in 2007; daughter, Sandy Stegall; son-in-law, Lee Stegall, five brothers and four sisters.

Survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Deanna & Robert Finnan of Anaheim, California, Sharen Moore of New Paris and Karen (Joe Driffill) Ward of New Paris; sister, Barbara Morris of Lexington, Kentucky; grandchildren, David, Angela, Brian, Tony, Jason and Lori; great grandchildren, Jessie, Amber, Sean, Taylor, Jynessa, Zachary, Charli and Madyn; great great granddaughter, Brianna; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris, OH with Rev. Wayne Ward officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
