Albert C. Zuzolo

Albert C. Zuzolo, age 84 of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio. Born on January 3, 1924 in Richmond, Indiana, he was the son of the late Angelo & Delores (Rufo) Zuzolo. Albert served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and attended the University of Dayton. He was the Managing Director of Cardiovascular Laboratory at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton for 43 years retiring in 1987. During 1958 to 1964 he served as Mayor of Lewisburg and had been a member of the Lewisburg Lions Club, Preble County Republican Party. Preceded in death by brothers: Carmen Zuzolo in 1922 and Edward Zuzolo.

Survived by wife of 59 years: Joan Turner Zuzolo; Children: Betsy & Martin Lavelle of Dayton, OH; Amy & Jon Obst of Libby, MT; Phillip & Brenda Zuzolo of Woodbridge, Va.; Mark & Julie Zuzolo of Tipp City, OH and Michael & Mary Jane Zuzolo of Lafayette, IN. Sister: Mary Jenkins of Hingham, MA. Grandchildren: Francey, Tom Joe, Peter, Anthony, Albert, Amanda, Matt, Mitch, Jenna, Jillian, Martin, Nicholas and Andrew.

Funeral mass will be 10:00 am Tuesday - February 5, 2008 at Visitation Catholic Church - East Main Street - Eaton, OH with Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in New Paris, OH. With full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Monday, February 4, 2008 from 4 to 7 PM with Rosary Service at 7:00 PM at Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio.
