A. CORRINE PLATFOOT, age 85, of New Paris, Ohio died Thursday, February 20, 2003 at her residence. Born on October 1, 1917 in Liberty, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late James William & Maude (Caldwell) Little. She was a graduate of Brownsville High School in Brownsville, Indiana and had worked at Kresge’s Dime Store and International Harvester both in Richmond, Indiana. Member of St. John’s Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Sodality both of New Paris, Ohio. Preceded in death by Husband: Ivoe R. Platfoot in 1987; Son: David E. Platfoot in 1980; Grandson: Jeff Taggart in 2000 and Son-in-Law: Fred Taggart in 2002.

Survived by Daughter: Carol Sue Taggart of New Paris, Ohio; Son: Gary Platfoot of West Carrollton, Ohio; Brother & Sister-in-Law: Bill & Mary Agnes Little of Richmond, Indiana; Sister: Meta Jane Benner of Richmond, Indiana; Grandchildren: Mariann Kincaid, Mike Platfoot, Amy Sizemore and Cathy Platfoot; Great Grandchildren: Derek & Brandon Taggart, Brittley & Ragen Sizemore, Dalton & Levi Kincaid, Bryce, Brandy & Christopher Platfoot; Brother-in-Law & Sister-in-Law: Emmit & Norma Puthoff of San Jose, California; Nieces & Nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 24, 2003 - 10:00 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church - North Spring Street - New Paris, Ohio with Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 23, 2003 from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. with Rosary Services at 6:45 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio.
