Dafon Hymer

Dafon (Alcorn) Hymer, age 93 of Eaton, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton, Ohio. Born on May 31, 1929 in Irvine, Estill County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Wade & Nannie “Nan” (Osborn) Alcorn.

The family would like to thank the staff of Vancrest Health Care Center and the staff of Hospice for their love & care over the years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hymer; son & daughter-in-law, Jack Lee & JoAnn Nickell; grandsons, Irvin Lee Bridgeford, Jr. and Anthony S. Bridgeford; brothers & sisters-in-law, Herbert & Bernease Alcorn, Arlie & Theresa Alcorn and Manuel & Betty Alcorn; sister-in-law, Wanda Alcorn; sisters & brothers-in-law, Ina & Newell Humphreys, Della & Lou Ditty and Delma & James Salyers; son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Schwab.

Survived by her daughters & son-in-law, Pauline & Irvin Bridgeford and Maxine Schwab; son & daughter-in-law, Timothy “Joe” & Barbara Nickell; brothers-sister-law, Austin & Eleanor Alcorn and Ray Alcorn; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Schwab, John (Summer) Nickell, Joseph (Tasha) Nickell, Jacob (Lindsey) Nickell, Ashley (Shaun) Maloney, Tyler Nickell and Austin (Taylor) Nickell; 10 great grandchildren, Ethan, Piper, Audrey, Cash, Walker, Addie, Owen, Evelynn, Jayden and Wesley; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
